Sarah Kastrau (1983*)
is a student of photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund, Germany. Influenced by the gritty photocopy aesthetics of punk records and zines as well as the works of the Japanese Provoke-era photographers, her focus is on working with cheap cameras and analogue materials. She has self-published several books and exhibited internationally, her books are part of multiple collections. She is also part of destruktiva, a collective hosting shows for experimental art & music. She currently works and lives in Bochum, Germany.
